We can't possibly tell you what an amazing place this is. You have to experience it yourself. The owners are the most hardworking honest family I have had the pleasure of meeting. The bed and breakfast is beautiful and homey. The staff is beyond friendly, very knowledgeable about the area, hard workers that are happy, and just good people! The Brewery is very good and a great place just to have fun. The food is excellent. The food proportions out weigh the prices all day everyday.

I made an attempt this December to give them a second shot, and was told that the outdoor areas were closed for the winter, and thus they were not pet friendly. As a customer with that sort of filter, I suppose I will not be going back. By extension, it means that I won't be talking about, or buying their beer elsewhere.

This is a one stop shop for fun! You can eat the restaurant, enjoy their beers, go tubing down the river, or just enjoy your beverage with a view of the water. The pizzas are great and the beer is pretty good. We enjoyed our visit!

The beer itself, while decent, was also somewhat derivative. I recall having a flight, and most of the beers tasted very similar to each other.

Which, perhaps, might be their perspective, but I am a married business professional, with a well behaved and extensively trained pet. He doesn't bark or attack, nor is he destructive or loud. All in all, I felt like they saw selling their beer to me as more trouble than it was worth.

Full disclosure: I go to many breweries with my dog, as we're off out hiking. My first venture to Blind Squirrel was last year. They had quite a few tables free outside, but I was told that they were understaffed, and thus could not seat us. I was, however, welcome to stand outside the taproom area, and serve myself. I say stand because, to my memory, they did not have seating, just a wooden table.

The family at Blind Squirrel brewery extreamly nice and accommodating. The service at the B&B is over the top. Each morning the chef made a custom incredible breakfast. Omelettes, grits, bacon and fresh fruit each morning was the perfect way to start the day. We stayed in the Creekside cabin and the accommodations were perfect. The cabin was so cozy and extreamly close to the brewery. There is also a shuttle to the brewery if needed. The only thing missing missing from the cabin was a hot tub :). We will absolutely be back!!

Blind Squirrel is a real gem! The food (primarily burgers, salads, and wraps) was excellent and reasonably priced, in the ballpark of $11/entree. The restaurant itself is amazing, with multiple levels and a den-like room with pool table and wood-fired stoves. The place is good enough that it would be worth planning trips between Asheville and Boone around it.

Your mileage, of course, may vary.

Which, I do understand, things happen. People call out. Crowds can be unexpectedly large. That sort of thing. The part that tipped the scales for me was the lack of friendliness. Perhaps because I was travelling with my pet, or perhaps for another reason altogether, the staff sort of congregated together, talking amongst themselves and some of the people already there. I had trouble getting their attention, and ordering, and when I did, it was almost like I was a bother or a nuisance, rather than a valued customer.
